Top 5 Travel and Local Apps on Android in the UK: Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in the United Kingdom displayed a range of performance trends. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, active users, and revenue for the leading apps in this category.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 14K in late December 2021 and peaking at about 27K by the end of January 2022. Active users for the app showed a positive trend, growing from approximately 894K in late December to over 1.1M by the end of March.

RingGo: Mobile Car Parking App had a more varied download pattern, starting at around 19K in late December and fluctuating throughout the quarter, eventually reaching around 21K by the end of March. The app's active users saw a slight increase from approximately 83K to around 85K over the same period.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker showed a significant spike in downloads mid-quarter, with a peak of approximately 61K in the week of February 21. This surge was mirrored in active users, jumping from around 64K in late December to a peak of 159K in the same week. Weekly revenue also saw a noticeable increase, reaching about $17K by mid-March.
